Dear colleagues,
We are pleased to be able to offer you the chance to take part in the fundraising event “Swim4hope”, organised by the charity Léman hope. Businesses from French-speaking Switzerland are currently being invited to put together teams who will swim in relays over a set distance along the Lake. UBP has committed itself to forming a team which, over the course of two days, will swim from Geneva to Lausanne.

The aim of this initiative is to raise funds to finance a week-long sailing trip on Lake Geneva for children whose cancer is in remission. These trips, along with the instructors who accompany them onboard, help the children to get back on track following their illness and help them build up their self-confidence by sharing their experiences with others.
What does the fundraising day involve?
We are putting together a UBP team (45 colleagues) who will swim in two days from Geneva to Morges (a distance of 46 km in total).
When signing up, each member of staff must say how far they want to swim (this can be between 500 m and 3 km).
On the day of the swim, each participant will swim in turn, not forgetting to cheer on their teammates – don’t forget that this is a team effort! Each of you can therefore play a part, whether it’s the first time you’ve swum in the Lake or whether you’re out to set a new PB!

We will confirm your registration and provide you with more information once all registration requests have been received and processed.
We should like to remind you that the Bank offers all of its employees one day’s leave per year so that they can take part in charitable events.
